What we collect from visitors

There is no sign-up and no login. We do not take names, contact details or addresses from visitors.

If you email us, the message and your address are used only to answer and resolve it, and are deleted once that is done.

Access logs

The site is served as static files, and access logs are limited to what the provider delivering them keeps for security and incident response.

No advertising trackers are embedded, and no tracking parameters are attached to links leaving the site.

Where the data sits

The site is delivered as static files through a content delivery provider. Access logs created in that process live on that provider's servers, and their retention and handling follow that provider's policy rather than ours.

Email you send us stays in the mail service we use. Once a question is answered and nothing further is outstanding, it is deleted.

Because we take no personal data from visitors, none is shared with third parties or handed to a processor. If that ever changes, this page is amended first and its date is raised.

Asking to see or remove something

Requests to correct or remove an office's details in a ranking, or to drop a quoted visitor review, can be sent to the address on the About page. Naming the page and the office makes the check faster.

When a request arrives we re-check the public source it came from, act on it, and write back with the outcome. Where the public source itself is wrong, we say so.

Business information on these pages

Office names, addresses, phone numbers and hours concern corporations and business premises, taken from the Ministry of Justice release and from what each office registered itself. We do not gather information for identifying private individuals.

Visitor reviews are quoted briefly rather than reproduced, without the author’s name, with a link to the original.

An office that does not wish to appear in the ranking can contact us and will be removed after we check.
